Muse's recent release of their DVD and CD HAARP - live at Wembley will blow your mind.
Muse have come a long way since they formed in 1994. They have made epic leaps and bounds and are well on the way to world domination.
An extravagant band deserves an extravagant stage and it was a testimony to their critically acclaimed live performances when Wembley stadium invited Muse to be the first band to take to its stage since its redevelopment.
On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June 2007, Muse played two sold out shows at Wembley in front of 150,000 people. Fans weren’t let down with an all mighty light and stage show. Equipped with the usual confetti and orbs the show was taken up a notch with the addition of huge floating balloons with people attached to the bottom of them, a massive futuristic themed stage set with motorised guitar caddy, moving satellites, huge structures that resembled hills hoists and huge screens that had films of marching robots and the like.
Props, lights and smoke is nothing without a charismatic band. The boys from Muse abound in stage presence often portraying ridiculous levels of humour and the ability to laugh at themselves. In the HAARP DVD they look like they are having the time of their lives; their energy is contagious.
The DVD is bound to entertain and offers a glimpse into the future. The CD is a lovely way to escape and enter a world surreal.
A welcome addition to the MUSE discography allowing fans to have a nice record of their most recent songs from Black Holes and Revelations live on disc. The DVD and CD also showcase past classics like Time is Running Out, Plug in Baby, Feeling Good and Stockholm Syndrome to name a few.
The DVD footage was taken from the Sunday show and the CD sounds were recorded on the Saturday show.
